In May 2023, Microsoft and Ingram Micro hosted a joint event at the Microsoft Germany headquarters in Munich. The partnership delivered a diverse conference program to around 80 attendees, featuring expert talks and interactive tech showcases.
The day started with a light breakfast, followed by a series of informative presentations. Speakers from both companies shared insights on current tech trends and business solutions, focusing on collaboration and joint projects.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

Presentation of Microsoft Hive: A major feature was the introduction of Microsoft Hive Munich – a cutting-edge hybrid event space equipped with automated camera tracking, digital interactivity, and avatar-based virtual participation. This setup allowed seamless integration of both on-site and remote attendees.

Demonstration of Microsoft HoloLens: Guests had the chance to try the latest version of Microsoft HoloLens in the “Holodeck.” This mixed-reality headset allows digital content to be projected into the physical world and gave attendees a glimpse into the future of work and collaboration.
Breaks between sessions offered time for networking and exchange. The event lasted from morning into the late afternoon, providing a comprehensive look at Microsoft and Ingram Micro’s latest technologies and innovations.
CHALLENGES & TECHNICAL IMPLEMENTATION

Optimal lighting conditions: The modern, well-lit rooms at Microsoft HQ provided ideal conditions for event photography. This allowed us to capture high-quality visuals and the event’s authentic atmosphere.

Documenting interactive tech: A challenge was to authentically capture guests engaging with technologies like Microsoft Hive and HoloLens. Through focused photography, we were able to showcase the participants’ excitement and involvement.
