INSIGHT INTO INNOVATIVE CONFERENCE TECHNOLOGIES AT MICROSOFT AND INGRAM MICRO
In May 2023, Microsoft and Ingram Micro hosted a joint event at Microsoft's German headquarters in Munich. This partnership enabled them to offer around 80 guests a diverse conference program, ranging from engaging keynote speeches to interactive technology presentations.
The day began with a light breakfast, followed by a series of informative presentations. Speakers from both companies shared their expertise on current technology trends and business solutions, focusing on collaboration and joint projects between Microsoft and Ingram Micro.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE EVENT

Presentation of the Microsoft Hive: A special highlight of the program was the presentation of the Microsoft Hive Munich. This innovative, hybrid event space is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including automated camera control, digital interaction options, and the integration of virtual participants via avatars. These features enable both in-person and digital participants to be seamlessly integrated into the event.

Microsoft HoloLens demonstration : Guests had the opportunity to try out the then-current version of the Microsoft HoloLens in the so-called Holodeck. This mixed-reality headset allows digital content to be projected into the real world, opening up new perspectives on future work and collaboration possibilities for participants.
There were frequent breaks between the program items for networking and exchange among the guests. The event ran from the morning until late afternoon and offered participants a comprehensive insight into the latest technologies and solutions from Microsoft and Ingram Micro.
CHALLENGES AND TECHNICAL IMPLEMENTATION

Optimal lighting conditions : The modern and well-lit spaces of Microsoft headquarters provided ideal conditions for event photography. This allowed for high-quality shots and the natural atmosphere of the event to be captured in the best light.

Documenting interactive technologies : The challenge was to authentically capture guests' interactions with technologies such as Microsoft Hive and HoloLens. Targeted photography helped capture the enthusiasm and engagement of participants.
